Heather studied drama at the University of Miami in Florida. Then she left for NYC, where she wrote short stories, comedy acts, television treatments, commercials, and plays. She penned her first novel in 1990. Since then she has produced several multi-award-winning series. \nHer most recent is the Snow Lake Romantic Suspense Novels starting with Christmas Trifle, released September 2019.\nIt began with the Silicon Valley-based Alvarez Family Murder Mystery Series, Murder is a Family Business, A Wedding to Die For, Death Runs in the Family, and DEAD....If Only, The CEO Came DOA and The Culinary Art of Murder. She is currently writing Casting Call for a Corpse, Book Seven of the series.\nThe 1940s WWII Manhattan-based Persephone Cole Vintage Mysteries was number one in both Amazon's Historical Mystery and General Humorous categories, October 2013. The Dagger Before Me, and Iced Diamonds preceded the recently released The Chocolate Kiss-Off. \nDaughter of real-life Ringling Brothers Circus folk, Heather brings the daily existence of the Big Top to life in her stand-alone noir novel, Murder under the Big Top, winner of the Silver IPPY 2014. Corliss and other Award-Winning Stories is a compilation of her stories, short shorts, and flash fiction, released in August, 2015.\nHeather lives in the foothills of San Jose with her husband of 37-years and two cats, happily writing away. That would be her writing away, not the cats.
